MAPLE VALLEY — The city broke ground this month on Summit Park, a 14-acre park project at Southeast 276th Street and state Route 169, by Tahoma High School.
Terra Dynamics was awarded a $9.37 million contract in July to complete the work.
Summit is the largest park project undertaken by the city since its incorporation in 1997. It will include an inclusive playground, skate park, three athletic fields, walking trails, restrooms and a pavilion.
SLA Landscape Architects is the architect.
Construction is scheduled to finish by next summer.
