YAKIMA (AP) — Yakima County officials are keeping their promise and have plans to improve an intersection where a teen was killed in a head-on collision and has been deemed unsafe.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reported Tuesday that the proposed improvements for the Yakima Valley Highway and Gurley Road intersection are part of a $1.6 million settlement with the family of Angel Mendoza, who died due to a 2015 crash at the intersection.
