Construction Industry Spotlight: Big Picture feels at home in a mall

    The Redmond Town Center Big Picture has 150 seats with TempurPedic memory foam padding, and a 35-millimeter film projector and LCD projector. The seats are installed on top of a foam structure, encased in a steel frame, with a layer of concrete on top.

    Mark Stern had some unusual requests in his search for a 5,500-square-foot commercial space. He wanted a mostly column-free space with high ceilings, in a building where there was plenty of free parking nearby.
