Shoring contractor nails a book deal
Steve Kulchin has put together a coffee table book showcasing nearly 100 local shoring projects his company has built.

This photo from “The Hole Book,” taken last May, shows the site of a Seattle Cancer Care Alliance patient building at 1216 John St. The shoring system uses soldier piles and wood lagging with tiebacks and internal bracing. The general contractor is Walsh Construction Co.
MOST OF US, when faced with a decade's worth of photos piling up, just stick 'em in a box (or on a hard drive) and forget about them.
