Designed to house the Spruce Goose, the largest aircraft ever flown, and its owner’s collection of historic aircraft, the Captain Michael King Smith Evergreen Aviation Educational Institute in McMinnville, Ore., had to span the giant aircraft's 320-foot wingspan in a way that was both economical and aesthetically pleasing.
