Joey Restaurant Group has opened a restaurant and test kitchen in the University Village at 2623 N.E. University Village St.
Outside is an all-weather dining patio and custom wood and metal elements. The semi-enclosed patio has an operable glazing panel system.
The 7,000-square-foot interior build-out of the restaurant includes detailed masonry, wood and decorative structural steel elements.
A 2.4-ton, single-hung sash window can be manually raised and lowered by an exposed crank mechanism, a prominent feature of the dinning area.
Above the bar, television monitors can be raised out of sight on computer controlled overhead lifts.
Work was done within a five-month construction schedule.
