Mercy Othello Plaza is a transit-oriented development at 6940 Martin Luther King Jr. Way S. in southeast Seattle.
The building has a mix of affordable housing, commercial and community spaces, and is located across from the Othello Link light rail station. It was developed by the nonprofit Mercy Housing Northwest in collaboration with Sound Transit.
The 108 energy-efficient housing units are for individuals and families earning between $18,000 and $55,000 a year. Many of the multi-bedroom units are designed for families.
In addition to a community center, the building has office space for Mercy Housing Northwest and a landscaped courtyard.
Sound Transit sold a portion of the land it acquired for constructing Othello Station to Mercy Housing through a competitive application process.
Developers: Mercy Housing Northwest, Sound Transit
Architect: Ankrom Moisan Architects
General contractor: Walsh Construction
