Last week, Washington State Department of Ecology Director Jay Manning sent out a letter to 1,000 state and local agencies alerting them that the state is moving forward on considering greenhouse gas impacts under the State Environmental Policy Act.
The state has been talking about this issue, but the letter officially launches the public process of considering climate change impacts under SEPA. The letter says, “It is our intent to revise and clarify the SEPA rules and provide useful guidance on this topic.”
