GreenTools gets Harvard honors
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — King County's GreenTools program has been named one of 2009's top 50 government innovations by the Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
GreenTools promotes sustainable built environments by leveraging partnerships with other agencies and organizations and offering voluntary incentives. It will now compete for one of six Innovators in American Government Awards. Finalists for those awards will be announced in May.
