MARYSVILLE — The city of Marysville has issued a call for bids for a stream restoration project. Bids are due by July 22 at 9 a.m.
The project involves filling a detention tank and downstream pipe with controlled density fill, and restoring 640 feet of the stream channel to a more natural condition. The stream restoration involves grading to alter the channel cross-section so there is a low flow channel and floodplain benches, installing toe logs for bank stabilization and planting native species on the floodplain benches.
