NRG may develop Houston solar farm

HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston City Council will consider selecting NRG Energy Inc. to develop a solar farm that could produce enough energy to handle 6 percent of the city's annual power consumption.

The city announced last week it had selected a bid by NRG, based in Princeton, N.J. It requires city council approval in a process expected to start this week.
