Treatment plant fined $24,000

By JOURNAL STAFF

BELLEVUE — The Washington State Department of Ecology has fined King County's West Point Wastewater Treatment Plant in Seattle $24,000 for a major sewage release on Dec. 14.

Ecology said the 8.7 million-gallon release of untreated sewage could have been prevented.
