Green Power CEO jailed for fraud

SEATTLE (AP) — The CEO of a Kennewick-based biofuels company had pitched a promising technology to convert household trash into diesel fuel.

But Michael Spitzauer, of Green Power Inc., is now facing federal charges he schemed to defraud investors who entered into joint ventures with the company to build waste-to-fuel plants around the world.
