Bus supporters vow to file new initiative

SEATTLE — A group called Friends of Transit announced it will file an initiative for the November ballot that would raise up to $25 million to help restore bus service in Seattle.

The move comes after the apparent defeat of Proposition 1, which King County voters are rejecting by a 55 percent to 45 percent margin, according to initial returns.
