Record year for NW nuclear plant

RICHLAND (AP) — The operators of the only nuclear power plant in the Northwest say it generated a record amount of electricity in the fiscal year that ended in June.

Energy Northwest says the Columbia Generating Station at Richland generated 9.7 million megawatt hours, breaking the old record of 9.5 million megawatt hours generated in fiscal 2006.
