$35M cleanup nears start in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM (AP) — A $35 million environmental cleanup effort of a polluted Bellingham waterfront site could begin as early as July.

The Bellingham Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1HxXBld ) that the Port of Bellingham Commission approved a contract for cleaning up the Whatcom Waterway Tuesday. American Construction Company of Tacoma will do the work.
