State extends sales tax break on e-cars

OLYMPIA (AP) — Lawmakers have extended a sales tax break on electric vehicle purchases to 2019 with some changes.

The state Department of Revenue says the exemption applies to sales of cars, light duty trucks and other vehicles powered by electricity, natural gas, hydrogen or other alternative fuels.
