Pier 4 cleanup starts in Tacoma

TACOMA — The Port of Tacoma has started to remove 40,000 cubic yards of contaminated sediments from Blair Waterway in preparation to expand Pier 4.

In 2013, a port investigation found that the fill under Pier 4 was contaminated with a marine biocide.
