SEATTLE — The city of Seattle will hold a public meeting about renovating Victor Steinbrueck Park from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Waterfront Space, 1400 Western Ave.
Staff from the city and Walker Macy will present design options and answer questions.
The goal is to improve sight lines, lighting, and renovate seating and a former children's play area. Funding comes from the 2008 Parks and Green Spaces Levy.
Part of the park is on a privately owned parking garage. The city said the membrane between the park and the garage is failing, and will need to be replaced in the renovation.
A final design is expected in early 2017. Construction is slated for fall 2018 – spring 2019, with completion in 2019.More information is at http://tiny.cc/xj4afy/.
