Report calls for changes to plant at West Point

An independent review of the Feb. 9 failure of West Point Treatment Plant found the plant lacked the capacity to handle the sudden deluge of stormwater, and said the problem is likely to get worse as the region grows.

Consultants from Aecom released the report yesterday and discussed their findings with the Metropolitan King County Council's Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee.
