Tacoma park to remove 250 trees

TACOMA (AP) — A park south of Tacoma is removing 250 Douglas fir trees that are each more than 100 years old after officials found tree-decaying diseases.

KCPQ-TV reports that Pierce County Parks and Recreation officials found the diseased trees after surveying 1,500 trees at Spanaway Park.
