New task force on Chinese recycling

SEATTLE — King County is forming a task force with cities and waste haulers to address severe new restrictions China has put on what recyclable materials it will accept.

The task force will meet this month and continue for several months. Solid waste haulers include Recology, Republic Services and Waste Management; the cities include Renton, Lake Forest Park, Shoreline, Bothell, Kent, Kirkland, Bellevue and Federal Way.
