New wastewater permit for wineries

LACEY — The state Department of Ecology last week adopted a new winery general permit aimed at protecting water quality.

The permit is scheduled to take effect July 1, 2019. Wineries that discharge more than 53,505 gallons of wastewater a year will likely be affected.
