SEATTLE (AP) — Washington state has issued $118,500 in fines for King County after finding more than two dozen sewer-overflow violations.
The Seattle Times reports the Washington Department of Ecology found 27 cases of wastewater discharge exceeding pollutant limits, five instances of unpermitted overflows and other permit issues in 2016 and early 2017.
