Meeting Saturday on Kubota Garden

SEATTLE — Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Kubota Garden Foundation are holding a community meeting about updating the Kubota Garden master plan on Saturday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Rainier Beach Community Club, 6038 S Pilgrim St.

The 20-acre garden is a historic landmark in South Seattle that the city acquired in 1987 from the estate of master landscaper Fujitaro Kubota.
