Cell service coming to transit tunnels

SEATTLE — Sound Transit said it has approved a contract to get cellphone service in its underground tunnels and stations.

Mobilitie Investments III of Newport Beach, California, will install, operate and maintain the cell network, which should be up and running by the middle of next year.
