National parks see a surge in foreign tourists

    Grand Canyon National Park officials say international tourists now account for an estimated 40 percent of all visitors there — a sharp increase over the previous year.

    GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. — When Steve Meissner of Berlin bought a 1956 butter yellow Cadillac online, he could have simply had it shipped from Arizona to Germany.
