SEATTLE — Summer weather is finally here, making it a perfect time to go check out the Woodland Park Zoo's new tiger exhibit, Banyan Wilds.
The two-acre exhibit houses a trio of 2-year-old Malayan tigers, and sloth bears. An earlier phase opened in 2013 with Asian small-clawed otters, a tropical aviary and a kids' nature play area.
The zoo says the $19.6 million project is its most ambitious new exhibit in nearly two decades.
Entrance into Banyan Wilds is free with zoo admission or membership.
The zoo is located at 5500 Phinney Ave. N. Zoo hours are 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. Admission is $19.95 for ages 13-64 and $12.25 for ages 3-12. Children 2 and under are free.
