SEATTLE — A program called “New Worlds: Bill Murray, Jan Vogler & Friends” is set for Nov. 29 at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall in Seattle.
Murray, an actor/comedian, and Vogler, a cellist, met and became curious about each others artistic world and interests. They decided to work together to create a program that would showcase American values in literature and music, and explore the bridges artists have built between America and Europe.
They will perform work by Twain, Hemingway, Whitman, Bach, Bernstein, Gershwin and Foster, looking at how they have influenced generations of people worldwide and demonstrate the energy and creative forces in the New World.
STGPresents describes the show as “a fascinating encounter between great music and great literature featuring two masters of their art.”
Tickets start at $49.50 for this all-ages show at Ticketmaster.com, the Paramount Theatre box office, or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. More information is at STGPresents.org
