JCB launches online equipment resource center

JCB, a manufacturer of construction equipment, announced the launch of JCB e.zone on the company’s North American Web site, www.jcbna.com. Created through a private label agreement with Ironmax, JCB e.zone provides internal and external customers with access to construction equipment services.

Contractors and dealers who are looking for used equipment will have access to view the inventory of any JCB dealer in North America. In addition, JCB dealers who post equipment to the site have private access to comprehensive equipment specs, pricing and value information. These resources, including Last Bid auction results, Green Guide equipment resale values, and Spec Check specifications, will enable dealers to make informed decisions on pricing their used equipment.

“JCB e.zone is a comprehensive Internet source for used equipment purchases,” said JCB President Helmut Peters. “This provides our customers with an efficient, centralized resource to gather information and purchase used equipment, and our dealer network with tools for inventory management.”

The e.zone product is the result of an extensive search by JCB to enhance existing technology operations. “We are extremely proud to be chosen as the service provider by a world-class organization like JCB,” said Steven Paradis, founder and CEO of Ironmax. “The Ironmax software customized for the JCB e.zone enables the company to effectively manage its construction equipment assets while providing a service to its customers and dealers.”

Later this year, the JCB e.zone will expand its services to offer an online request for quote (RFQ) to buy and sell new and used equipment, and a tool to check availability and rent equipment from JCB dealers.

JCB is the North American subsidiary of JC Bamford Excavators , one of the top five construction equipment manufacturers in the world. JCB markets a wide range of construction equipment in North America, including backhoe loaders, wheel loader/tool carriers, Loadall telescopic handlers, rough-terrain forklifts, Robot skid steer loaders and hydraulic tracked excavators.

Louisville, Ky.-based Ironmax, www.ironmax.com, offers Internet decision-making information and marketplace for buyers, sellers and managers of construction equipment assets.
