Canyon Creek Cabinet Co.

McIalwain

Doug McIalwain rejoined Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. to head the remodeled Spokane store and showroom. McIalwain has more than 30 years of experience in the building products industry. The expanded Spokane showroom has 13 new displays containing a variety of cabinets, hardware and accessories. A grand opening is set for May. Canyon Creek is based in Monroe.

Opus Bank

Opus Bank hired Kevin Geraci as managing director of Income Property Banking for the Pacific Northwest. Geraci is a 20-year banking and finance veteran, and worked for the National Real Estate Group of Zions Bank as regional director for Alaska, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

Western Washington University

Christopher “Kit” Spicer has been hired as dean of the College of Fine and Performing Arts at Western Washington University. Spicer has been interim CFPA dean.

Whidbey Island Bank

Christine Heckert has been named senior vice president and SBA manager for Whidbey Island Bank. Heckert will lead an expanded SBA lending team in Lynnwood. The bank also hired Steven Evans, VP/SBA commercial lending officer, Renee Petit as AVP/SBA credit supervisor and Jennifer Stoves as SBA credit assistant. Whidbey Island Bank has 32 locations in six counties.

Seattle-based BNBuilders promoted Andy Stevenson to senior superintendent, Tim Harmon and Jake Cantrell to superintendents, and Jimmy Craig and Steve Gates to project managers. BNBuilders has regional offices in Spokane, San Francisco and San Diego.

Siku Construction added Rob Sorensen as superintendent of the Facility Services Group in Seattle. Sorensen has more than 20 years of construction and facilities experience, and spent the last 17 years at Jody Miller Construction. Siku's Seattle office focuses on construction management and facility services. The company also has offices in Los Angeles, Sacramento, Calif., and Anchorage, Alaska.

Adolfson & Peterson Construction's Pacific Northwest office hired Dave Peterson as senior estimator. Peterson has more than 30 years of construction industry experience, with project management expertise in heavy-industrial, high-rise commercial, federal, senior living, pharmaceutical, healthcare and high-end hospitality projects.

Seattle-based PSF Mechanical hired Paul Bonaci as senior project manager, Pete Maniccia as senior project design engineer, Bunny Lee as junior marketing coordinator and Camryn Growden as office coordinator. Bonaci has 33 years of industry experience, and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington. Maniccia has nearly 20 years of industry experience, and holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. Lee has five years of graphic design experience, and holds an associate's degree in graphic design and illustration from Seattle Central Creative Academy. Growden has an administrative background in the HVAC industry, and holds an associate's degree from Bellevue College. PSF is a mechanical contractor specializing in design-build projects in life sciences, high-tech and Class A office facilities.

Auburn Mechanical

Auburn Mechanical won a national safety award from the Mechanical Contractors Association of America. Fifty-two mechanical contractors applied for the award in four categories. Auburn Mechanical won Category Three (250,001 to 400,000 work hours). Joe Geist is the safety director at the Auburn-based company.
