Ankrom Moisan Architects promoted Heather Hayes, David Kelley and Jennifer Sobierej Sanin to managing principal and Ricky Teh to principal in its Seattle office. Hayes joined the firm in 2007 and heads the interior design department in Seattle. Her projects include Motif hotel and Urban Visions' 2nd & Pike high rise. Kelley has over 18 years of experience as a project architect and project manager. He is senior project manager on the Tacoma Convention Center Hotel and 2nd & Pike. Sanin has 16 years of experience as a project designer, both here and abroad. Her work includes Mack Urban's Cyrene high-rise in Seattle and 901 Harrison, a high-rise for MacFarlane Partners. Teh has been with the firm for 16 years as a project architect and project manager working on mixed-use, multifamily and senior housing, including Mirabella. His projects include a high-rise for Holland Residential on First Hill. Ankrom Moisan provides architecture, interior design, urban design and identity services. It also has a Portland office.

Weber Thompson promoted Myer Harrell to director of sustainability. Harrell became a LEED accredited professional in 2006 and was named the AIA Seattle Young Architect in 2011. He was on a design team for Eco-Laboratory, a research project on vertical farming that won a national USGBC competition. Harrell works as an architect and project manager. He was project architect for Sunset Electric, a LEED platinum for homes mid-rise residential building, and is project manager for an office development in Fremont. Weber Thompson provides architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and community/urban design.

IA Interior Architects promoted Jeffrey Miller to Pacific Northwest regional managing principal, and Dave Kutsunai and Kim Parsley to co-managing directors in Seattle. Miller will oversee the Seattle and Portland offices. He has over 35 years of experience in architecture, design and management. He has worked on projects for clients such as Amazon, Expedia and Lithia Motors. Kutsunai and Parsley will move into Miller's former job. Kutsunai has served as design principal and has over 20 years of experience, including workplaces for corporations globally. Parsley has over 20 years of experience in account management, sustainability and design. She has led teams on strategic assessment projects ranging from 20,000 to 3 million square feet. IA focuses on interior architecture and workplace strategies.

BCRA hired Paige Nilsen as director of marketing and business development, working out of the Seattle office, and promoted Blake Johnson to director of structural engineering in Tacoma. BCRA is a Puget Sound-based architecture and engineering firm.

The Riley Group

Addis

The Riley Group hired Kristin Addis as a project geologist in the environmental consulting department. Addis has over 11 years of field and project experience. She will manage Phase I environmental site assessments, oversee Phase II ESAs and site characterization, and aid in regulatory site closures.

Travis, Fitzmaurice & Associates promoted Aprille Balangue to associate. Balangue joined the Seattle-based electrical engineering firm in 2007 and has been project engineer on educational, multi-use and other commercial projects. She is working on North Creek High School.

Yost Grube Hall Architecture hired Jerry Waters as a design architect in Portland. Waters has 20 years of experience in K-12, higher education, housing, stadiums, performing arts centers, hospitals, urban design and transit. Sandy High School in Sandy, Oregon, is among his projects. YGH provides planning, architecture and interior design.

Trindera Engineering hired Jeanne Kelso and Peggy Ask as administrative assistants in the Coeur d'Alene and Spokane offices, respectively. Kelso was a records specialist at Kootenai County Sheriff's Office. Ask was an executive administrative assistant at Signature Genomics Laboratories. Trindera is an electrical and control systems engineering and consulting firm.

GeoEngineers

GeoEngineers hired Craig Lund as a staff geologist and Sharon Hytnen as the learning coordinator in the Redmond office and Lora Fitzgerald as an administrative coordinator in Tacoma. GeoEngineers is an earth science, engineering and technology consulting firm with 13 U.S. offices, including four in the Puget Sound region.

Seattle Arts Commission

Phillips

Vivian Phillips, director of marketing and communications for Seattle Theatre Group, is the new chair of Seattle Arts Commission. Phillips succeeds Michael Seiwerath who will become vice chair. Phillips was appointed to the commission in 2013. She oversees marketing, communications and social media for three historic theatres in Seattle, and has worked for ACT Theatre, Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute and Mayor Paul Schell.

Skagit Bank

Burlington-based Skagit Bank hired John Cruikshank as vice president and commercial loan officer based in the Holly Street office in Bellingham. He has 25 years of experience as a community banker in Whatcom County.
