Bohlin Cywinski Jackson promoted Patreese Martin to associate principal. Martin joins Robert Miller and Ray Calabro in leading the Seattle office. She has residential and institutional experience, and is a design and management adviser to project teams and intern architects.

Boyd

Mithun promoted Ken Boyd to principal, and Elizabeth Gordon, Dottie Faris and Dakota Keene to associate principal. Boyd has been with the firm for 23 years as project manager and senior project architect, with work that includes the Perot Family Offices in Dallas, Silicon Valley workplaces, and high rise mixed-use and transit oriented development. Gordon is a senior interior designer who has led the design of Silicon Valley workplaces, and corporate and cultural projects in Seattle and nationally. Faris is a landscape architect, and project manager and project designer whose work includes the University of Washington's Lander, Terry and Maple halls, and Block 136 in Portland. Keene is a landscape architect who has led the site design of projects that include Tulalip Administration Building and Nordic Heritage Museum in Ballard.

In the Seattle office, architecture and design firm ELM Environments hired Yi Liu as an associate landscape architect. In the Jacksonville office, ELM hired Jenna Toffaletti as an associate architect, Mark Klone as a landscape architect and Belinda Barrett as an office administrator. Liu is was born and raised in China. She holds a bachelor of landscape architecture from Tongji University and a master of landscape architecture from Louisiana State University. She is working on San Diego Africa Rocks and Big Rock Park. Toffaletti spent four years at an architecture firm in Baltimore, and worked in commercial and residential real estate. Klone has eight years of experience on projects, such as parks and recreation, golf course planning, community planning, urban design, landscape architecture and graphic design. Barrett does administrative work. ELM Environments is a division of Jacksonville-based ELM.

In its New Orleans office, Elliott Bay Design Group hired David Kaysen as a senior naval architect and Trygve Reid and Rex Sutherlin as marine engineers. Kaysen has over 25 years of naval architecture experience, including work with the Navy, Coast Guard, NOAA and commercial ships. Reid has nearly two decades of experience in naval architecture and marine engineering, and a background in IT systems and computer software. Sutherlin has experience with commercial and military shipboard systems design. EBDG provides naval architecture, marine engineering and production support services, with offices also in Seattle and Ketchikan.

Sazan Environmental Services hired Keith Bickford as a commissioning engineer. Bickford has over 15 years of engineering, project management and construction management experience. Sazan Environmental Services is an affiliate of Sazan Group, which provides systems commissioning and retro-commissioning, performance optimization, and test-adjust-balance services.

Floyd|Snider

Floyd|Snider hired Tessa Gardner-Brown as a senior environmental planner, working in permitting, permit compliance and policy analysis. She has eight years of experience in environmental planning, including on the SR-520 bridge and Elliott Bay Seawall.

King County Housing Authority

Welch

John Welch has been confirmed to serve as a commissioner for King County Housing Authority. Welch is superintendent of Puget Sound Educational Service District and was superintendent of Highline School District. He has also worked at South Seattle College and Federal Way Public Schools.

Kymeta

Kymeta Corp., a Seattle-based developer of antenna technology, named Dr. Nathan Kundtz CEO and Marc Stolzman chief financial officer. Kundtz was president and chief technology officer at Kymeta, and Stolzman was CFO at Zulily. Kundtz led development of metamaterials technology used in Kymeta's satellite antennas, and was a member of the founding team in 2012. Stolzman has more than 20 years of experience at Zumiez, Blue Nile and Imperium Renewables. Kymeta makes ultra-thin antennas for maritime, automotive and aviation uses.
