In Redmond, Otak hired Chad Oxford as a senior civil engineer and project manager, and Gwyneth Perry and Allison Nichols as engineering designers and water resource analysts. Oxford has 18 years of experience in rail and civil engineering design, utility design, program management, project controls, cost estimating, contract administration and construction management. He is working on a parking study for the University of Washington-Bothell campus. Perry has two years of public sector experience, with a background in hydrology and water resources. An engineering-in-training, she is working on retrofitting LID stormwater facilities in Burien. Nichols' experience includes stream restoration, hydraulic and environmental engineering, transportation design, hydrology, soil and fluid mechanics, stormwater management and geospatial data applications. An engineer-in-training, she is working on transportation improvements for Burien and Community Transit. Otak provides urban design, architecture, planning and engineering.

In Seattle, Salas O'Brien promoted Brenda Ross to vice president, and Karoline Derse and Nancy Wilcox to associate vice president. Ross, a senior architect, has been with the firm for over eight years, helping it develop relationships with data center clients in the U.S. and Canada. Derse is an architect who joined the firm 12 years ago and has brought in several key clients. Wilcox was hired 12 years ago. She is an interior designer and has brought in new clients.

Tacoma-based Helix Design Group hired Jessica Cody as an interior designer, Diane Severin as an architect and Trish Andrews as an administrative assistant. Cody has over four years of experience on residential interior design and furniture for corporate, health care, education and hospitality clients. Severin has over 24 years of experience, with work on labs, surgery centers, emergency departments, inpatient nursing floors, medical clinics and offices, and military projects. Andrews has over five years of experience in the architecture field. She will help with archiving, construction administration and specification documents. Helix provides architecture, interior design and graphic design.

In Edmonds, Landau Associates promoted Kristi Schultz to data specialist, Steven Quarterman to senior associate, Devan Brandt to staff GIT, Celene Blair to senior staff GIT and Evelyn Ives to project EIT. In Seattle, it promoted Mark Brunner to associate. Schultz manages environmental data and coordinates with labs, develops quality assurance plans and provides data validation. Quarterman provides local, state and federal permitting and compliance support for projects. Brandt does construction oversight, geotechnical exploration and environmental monitoring. Blair does soil, groundwater and sediment investigations. Ives does environmental investigations and cleanups, and provides regulatory and permitting support to industrial clients. Brunner works with industrial and public clients on environmental permitting, documentation and compliance. Landau Associates offers geotechnical and environmental engineering, remediation, and permitting and compliance services.

Pacific Portfolio Consulting hired Joe Ostrom as senior wealth management advisor. He has worked at Summit Capital, Oppenheimer & Co. and Morgan Stanley.

K&L Gates

The Seattle office of K&L Gates LLP has added partners Pam Kohli Jacobson and Mary E. Atkinson, and associate Ryan W. Edmondson to the intellectual property litigation practice. They were with Betts, Patterson & Mines, where Jacobson headed the intellectual property group. Atkinson advises clients on intellectual property and was a research scientist.

Michael Gepner joins The 5th Avenue Theatre as vice president of marketing, communications and guest services. He was director of marketing and sales at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse and has 20 years of experience.

She will be based in Los Angeles. Joseph Gamble was named vice president of operations for the West Region, based in Ontario, Calif.

Eleveld

Whitepages, a contact and identity information service, named Rob Eleveld CEO. Founder Alex Algard will remain executive chairman of the board of Whitepages and continue as CEO of Hiya. Eleveld was hired in 2013 as vice president of enterprise sales and promoted to general manager of Whitepages Pro. Algard purchased the Whitepages.com domain for $900 in 1996, and started the website that year.

Lease Crutcher Lewis hired eight and rehired two in the Seattle office and at local jobsites. The new faces are preconstruction manager Julie Fleming and project engineers Stephen Wellwood, Bryant Watrous, Max Heil, Kris Dehmollayi, Mike Dunahoe, Joe Neuzil and Kyle Wilkins. Justin Egge and Gabe Stephens returned as project managers. Fleming has more than 20 years of construction experience. She holds a post-graduate degree in construction management from the University of Wolverhampton, and a master's degree from the University of Aberdeen. Wellwood, P.E., spent 16 years building oil/gas and chemical projects. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Calgary. Watrous is working in the Preconstruction group. He earned a bachelor's degree in systems engineering at West Point and a master's degree in engineering management from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Heil is also working in the Preconstruction group. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Central Washington University. Dehmollayi has three years of project engineering and field supervision experience, and holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University. Dunahoe has four years of experience as a project engineer, and holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Idaho. Neuzil recently graduated from the University of Tennessee in civil engineering. Wilkins recently graduated from Oregon State University in construction engineering management. Egge was with Lewis from 2007 to 2014 in Seattle and Portland, and recently spent two years with his family's residential construction firm. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington. Stephens was with Lewis from 2005 to 2010, and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the UW.

Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker

Sam Baker, a partner at the law firm of Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker, won a 2017 Community Service Award from the Celebrity Waiters Luncheon. Baker will receive the award May 12 at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle.
