In Seattle, MG2 elected Myra Vaughn as a shareholder and hired Adrian Lam, Shannon Suess, Karen Chalmers and Janelle Schneider as senior associates. In Washington, D.C., it promoted Eric Marks to associate principal. Vaughn has over 20 years of experience, and has relationships with major retailers. Last year, she was promoted to principal in the Seattle office. Lam works in the commercial studio and has over 20 years of experience on commercial, retail and residential projects. He will help manage retail projects for domestic and international clients. Suess is in the commercial studio, and focuses on hospitality projects. She will provide direction through design development for large projects. In the past 10 years, she designed luxury hotels in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Chalmers is in the retail studio, and will work with clients on new retail concepts. She worked for Starbucks' internal store design team for 15 years, including supervising programs to ensure brand consistency in the Asia Pacific region. Schneider is in the retail studio, and will manage selection and delivery of interior architecture finishes, casework and fixture concepts, and work on new concept designs. She was a senior production manager for Nordstrom. Marks, an architect, has been a senior associate, working on retail, office and master planning projects. He will now also lead clients through complex design and construction projects. MG2 provides architecture, planning, interior design, brand strategy, and consulting services, with offices also in Irvine, California, and Shanghai.

In Seattle, DLR Group promoted Erwin Angulo, Tara Kelly, Megan MacKenzie, David Reid and Carla Weinheimer to senior associate. The firm provides architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new construction, renovation and adaptive reuse.

Collins

Otak hired Chris Collins as an engineering designer and water resource analyst, and Stephanie Modjeski as a wetland scientist in the Everett and Redmond offices. Collins has experience in soil mechanics, hydraulic engineering, engineering hydrology, geospatial data applications, fluid mechanics, stormwater management and stream restoration. He is working on dike repairs and improvements in Everett. Modjeski has experience in wetland classification and delineation, ecological analyses, restoration and field botany, data collection, ArcGIS software and environmental law. She is working on Warren G. Magnuson Park monitoring. Otak is an urban design, architecture, planning and engineering firm.

In Seattle, Sazan Group hired Ken Billington as a senior construction manager and Loreli Floresca as an electrical designer. Billington has 25 years of experience in MEP engineering, including design, construction and commissioning. He has worked on projects for Boeing and Washington State University. Floresca has five years of experience on commercial and industrial projects, and is experienced in AutoCAD and Revit MEP. Sazan provides mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineering, information technology systems consulting, commissioning, value engineering, and owner representation services, with an office also in Portland.

Seattle-based Hoshide Wanzer Architects hired Lisa Peterson as an intern architect. Peterson has over five years of experience on a variety of project types. She holds a masters of architecture degree from UT Austin and a bachelor's in biology from New Mexico State University. Hoshide Wanzer provides architectural and interior design services.

First Sound Bank

First Sound Bank hired Geri Bullard as executive vice president and chief financial officer. She has nearly 20 years of experience as a controller and CFO in Washington, Idaho and California.

Gen Con

Gen Con, which produces a tabletop game convention, said David Hoppe has been named its new president, based in Seattle, eplacing Adrian Swartout, who will continue on the board of directors. Hoppe comes from Blastworks, a mobile games developer and publisher.

JND Legal Administration

JND Legal Administration, a legal management and administration company based in Seattle, hired Tom Hoffman as a senior consultant in the class action and mass tort administration services division in Los Angeles.
