In Seattle, Mithun promoted Allison Hefely, Amanda Bryan, Charles McDowell, Chelsey Morar, Emily Hagen, Gregory Catron, Jessica Araujo, Martha Cox, Rosalie Daggett and Seamus Kelly to associate. Mithun provides architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, urban design and planning.
Mackenzie promoted Brett Hanson to associate principal in Seattle. He is the architectural team leader and does business development. Hanson spent over 10 years in the Portland office, and has worked on public, commercial, retail, industrial and higher education projects, including Canby Police Station. The firm provides architecture and interior design; structural, civil and traffic engineering; land use and transportation planning; and landscape architecture.
Parametrix hired Don Proctor as a senior engineer in the Seattle transportation group. In Portland, it hired John Willis as senior vice president of the Oregon Region. Proctor has over 25 years of civil engineering experience. He has worked on roadway, transit, school and drainage projects, including Glacier Peak High School. Willis will provide transportation leadership company-wide. He has over 20 years of experience in transportation engineering. He has worked on transit, urban corridor, aviation and maritime projects, including Seattle Central Waterfront. Parametrix provides services in transportation, natural resources, community building, water solutions, and environmental engineering and science.
In Seattle, SCJ Alliance hired Hailey Mackay as a landscape designer. Mackay has a master's in landscape architecture from the University of Washington and a bachelor's in fine arts from Western Washington University. SCJ provides civil engineering, transportation planning and design, landscape architecture, environmental and urban planning, and public outreach.
Terry Bills joined Helix Design Group in Tacoma as an architect/project manager. Bills has over 30 years of experience on school, civic, commercial, military, medical, entertainment, sports, fair, multifamily, industrial and transportation projects, and environmental and campus planning. Helix provides architecture, interior design and graphic design.
In Seattle, Arup promoted electrical engineer Cress Wakefield to associate. Arup provides planning, engineering, design and consulting services.
Tideworks Technology, a software provider focused on maritime terminal management and planning, named Thomas J. (T.J.) Rucker president, effective Sept. 1. Rucker will relocate to Seattle in August and replace President Michael Schwank when he retires. Rucker is vice president of operations at Manzanillo International Terminal in Latin America. Carrix is the parent company of SSA Marine, Tideworks Technology and Rail Management Services. Rucker joined SSA Marine in 1999 on the Y2K team.
Horizon Air named George Knobloch vice president of maintenance and engineering, overseeing maintenance and engineering at six facilities and more than 400 employees. Knobloch will be based in Portland. He joined Alaska Air Group in 2002, and was managing director of maintenance and engineering at Horizon Air.
