ALSC Architects of Spokane hired Becky Blankenship as a project manager and Carla Lancaster as an administrative assistant. Blankenship has over 20 years of experience in civil engineering, architecture, and construction. She is working on banking and credit union projects. Lancaster has over 25 years in the industry. She is providing office and administrative support for architectural and interior design staff. ALSC provides planning and design services.

Seattle-based Weinstein A+U promoted architect Matthew Zinski to associate. Zinski has worked on education, multifamily and specialized residential projects. He is working on a 67-unit apartment project on Beacon Hill for Pacific Housing NW. Weinstein A+U provides architectural and urban design services.

Mahlum promoted Alyssa Leeviraphan and Rene Berndt to associate principal, and Andy Drissell and Rodrigo (Rod) Meira to associate. Leeviraphan is a project manager who has spent 15 years with Mahlum working on educational facilities in the Northwest. Berndt joined the firm in 2006. He designs educational projects and has shared research through publications, conference presentations and university lectures. Drissell was hired 2015 and is a project architect for health care and K-12 projects and has written about supporting circadian rhythm through proper lighting for Medical Construction & Design magazine. Meira was hired 11 years ago, and has primarily focused on K-12 projects, including Cascadia Elementary School, Robert Eagle Staff Middle School and Licton Springs K-8 for Seattle Public Schools, where a shared educational campus for the three schools replaced an outdated facility. Leeviraphan and Berndt are in Portland. Meira and Drissell are in Seattle.

Consulting electrical engineering firm Travis, Fitzmaurice & Associates of Seattle promoted Aprille Balangue to principal and Kate Hanson to drafter, and it hired Brian Oh as a designer and Keenan Uriu as a drafter. Balangue joined the firm 10 years ago and has been project manager on education, community and civic projects, including Seattle Fire Station 32. Hanson is assisting in the drafting department. Oh has a bachelor's in electrical engineering from the University of Washington. Among his projects is Assumption St. Bridget School in Seattle. Uriu is assisting in the drafting department.

In Seattle, Eric Coleman joined Elliott Bay Design Group as a naval architect. Coleman has six years of marine experience, emphasizing preliminary and detail design work of aluminum and steel vessels. He has worked on commercial vessels and charter yachts. EBDG provides naval architecture, marine engineering and production support services.

In Federal Way, ESM Consulting Engineers promoted Trevor Stiff to director of engineering and Clark Kunitsugu to associate. Stiff joined ESM 16 years ago as a design engineer and eventually became a principal engineer. Kunitsugu was hired eight years ago. He has project management skills and a client-oriented attitude. ESM provides civil engineering, surveying, land use planning, GIS, and landscape architecture.

Corr Cronin said Lawrence R. Cock, C. James Frush and Jack M. Lovejoy joined the Seattle firm as of counsel. All were partners at Cable, Langenbach, Kinerk & Bauer LLP and have since formed CFL Law Group LLP. Cock has over 27 years of experience, focusing on employment, securities, non-competition covenants, trade secrets, and trusts and estate litigation. Frush has over 30 years of experience, focusing on white collar crimes, public disclosure and election laws, and civil rights and medical malpractice cases. Lovejoy has over 12 years of experience, focusing on business disputes, trade secret and unfair competition claims, securities arbitration, employment law and employee transitions.

Olympic Steel

Thomas J. Sacco was promoted to regional vice president at Cleveland-based Olympic Steel. Sacco joined the company in 1994 and most recently was general manager of the Minnesota Coil Division. He retains that role and adds responsibility for Minnesota Plate operations as well as oversight of the company's Quincy warehouse in Eastern Washington.

Rainier Valley Corps

Vu Le, executive director of Rainier Valley Corps and creator of Nonprofit AF, won the 2018 Sustainability Hero award from Sustainable Seattle. Rainier Valley Corps promotes social justice.
