In Spokane, NAC Architecture hired Jason Herbst as a technical training specialist, Prachi Parkar as an interior designer and Jourdan Holubasch as an electrical drafter. Herbst has over 18 years of teaching/training experience at Spokane Community College and AutoCAD consulting firms, most recently, Initial AEC. Parkar holds a master of fine arts degree in interior design from Savannah College of Art and Design. She is working on Lince Kindergarten in Selah. Holubasch holds a bachelor's in electrical engineering from Eastern Washington University. She is working on Riverfront Park Pavilion in Spokane. NAC specializes in planning, design, engineering and capital facilities consulting services.

Becker

In Seattle, Lane Powell hired lawyers Peter Becker, Thomas Ward Falkner and Tyler Kendrick. Becker is counsel on the Intellectual Property Transactions Team. He was senior corporate counsel for Amazon's Trademark and Domains Group. Falkner is a shareholder on the Corporate, Securities and M&A Team. He has more than two decades of legal experience, most recently at the Dalio Family Office and Vulcan. Kendrick is an associate on the Intellectual Property Litigation and Transactions teams. He previously was an associate for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, and holds a master's degree in computer science.

U.S. District Court

President Trump nominated Assistant U.S. Attorney Tessa M. Gorman to replace Robert Lasnik and Seattle attorney Kathleen M. O'Sullivan to replace Marsha Pechman on the U.S. District Court in Washington. Gorman was named an assistant U.S. attorney in 2001 and became chief of the Criminal Division in 2013. O'Sullivan has been a partner since 2004 at Perkins Coie, and leads the litigation practice. Gorman and O'Sullivan must be confirmed by the Senate.

DSHS

The state Department of Social and Health Services named Sharon Redmond director of the Division of Child Support. Redmond was policy chief with DCS. Prior to that, she was a district manager and staff attorney for the division. She replaces Wally McClure, who retires after 37 years with the division.

DLR Group

Olt

In Seattle, DLR Group hired designer Matthias Olt as an architect and senior associate. Olt is working with global teams on workplace projects. He has 24 years of experience designing tall buildings, mixed-use developments and sustainable projects in the hospitality, institutional, residential, retail and workplace sectors, including internationally. DLR said Olt understands the building types its workplace clients are increasingly looking for — most notably tall buildings and mass timber. The firm provides architecture, engineering, interiors, planning and building optimization.

Seattle-based Olson Kundig hired Hemanshu Parwani as COO/CFO to direct operations and finance, including business and organizational development, human resources and finance departments, IT and the administrative team. Parwani has worked in international operations, capital markets and strategic development for over 30 years, and been CEO, COO and CFO at international A/E/C firms, including CFO of international operations at Aecom.

Schnabel Engineering

In Seattle, Schnabel Engineering hired Glen Frank as a senior vice president specializing in underground construction. He will support the tunnel engineering services group's projects and develop new design services opportunities on the West Coast. He has 25 years of experience in design, project management and construction of tunnels for water, wastewater and transportation. Engineering News-Record named him a Top 25 Newsmaker in 2013 for his work on the Sound Transit ULink U230 project in Seattle. Schnabel works on planning, study, design and construction for geotechnical, dam and tunnel engineering projects.

Seattle-based Hainline hired Matt Guilanians as a project manager. Guilanians has nearly 20 years of experience as a construction project manager, including with 5-over-2 residential, high-rise commercial, and industrial power plant construction. Hainline provides project management, construction management, scheduling, and project controls services.

Parametrix

Theodore

Story

Parametrix hired Stephen Story and Joel Theodore as senior consultants in Tacoma and Seattle, respectively. Story has nearly 20 years of experience managing education projects and overseeing capital improvement programs. He was chief operating officer and executive director of maintenance and operations at Tacoma Public Schools. He is on the Parametrix owner's representative group and manages projects for school districts. Theodore has over 20 years of experience in engineering design, and project management. He was Sound Transit's Lynnwood Link Extension Corridor design manager. He is on the Parametrix transit group in the Puget Sound region. Parametrix provides engineering, planning, and environmental sciences.

McKinstry

Ronco

McKinstry promoted Dan Ronco to director of electrical construction for Western Washington. The new role aligns all McKinstry electrical construction work under Ronco, with a focus on client service, regional growth and operations. He previously led the electrical special projects and service teams for the national design, build, operate and maintain firm.

Exeltech Consulting

Stoddard

Exeltech Consulting hired Richard Stoddard as bridge program director at its Lacey headquarters. The structural engineer has 40 years of experience in bridge design, construction and management. He has designed interchanges, river crossings, pedestrian bridges, fish passage structures and bridge rehabs. Exeltech provides planning, environmental permitting, civil and structural engineering design, landscape architecture and construction management.

Integrus Architecture

Barnhart

In Spokane, Integrus Architecture promoted Becky Barnhart to principal. Barnhart was hired as an intern in 2002, later becoming a project architect and project manager. She has worked on government, education and U.S. embassy projects, and now focuses on higher education work. She has been AIA Spokane president and on the AIA Washington Council Board and architecture and educational planning associations. Integrus provides architecture, structural engineering and interior design.

SLR Consulting

Driscoll

In Bothell, SLR Consulting hired Callan Driscoll, Ph.D., as an environmental engineer. Driscoll has consulted on projects involving environmental due diligence, site assessment and remediation, contaminated land redevelopment, and water quality for Northwest clients. SLR is a UK-based environmental and advisory consultancy, with U.S. operations based in Bothell.

HNTB

Agers

Kris Agers joined HNTB Corp. as Northwest district sales manager. Agers is based in Bellevue and develops the strategic sales plan for the Northwest. She has 25 years of experience in AE services. Most recently, she was operations manager at a consulting firm, overseeing design projects in Washington. HNTB is an infrastructure firm.

Architects West

Severns

Jolleen Severns of Architects West earned a Washington architectural license. Severns worked for firms in Washington, Oregon and Colorado before joining Architects West in 2007. She is working on Quincy City Hall.
