McLendon's Hardware moving Renton store

McLendon's Hardware has reached a deal to move out of the center of downtown Renton, freeing up 4.5 acres of prime property for redevelopment into an urban, mixed-use housing project.
The board of Valley Medical Center voted last week to sell a former K-Mart store on 9.7 acres on Rainier Avenue to McLendon's, said medical spokeswoman Sheila Hanson.
