Children's Hospital expands research

SEATTLE -- Children's Hospital pediatric researchers now occupy two floors, almost 50,000 square feet, at 307 Westlake Ave. The facility will initially host 15 principal investigators, with the goal of doubling this number in the next five years.

In addition to the space at 307 Westlake, 12,000 square feet of basic research space will remain at Children's main campus.

Children's becomes part of the growing biomedical research community developing in South Lake Union, including the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
