Area home prices down 3.55 percent

SEATTLE — The median price of a single-family house in King County was $448,500 for sales that closed in April, a decline of 3.55 percent from a year earlier, according to the Northwest Multiple Listing Service.

However, the April figure is an increase of about 2 percent over the previous month.
