County seeks $26M for rail corridor

SEATTLE — King County Executive Kurt Triplett has proposed a $26 million plan to purchase 25 miles of the BNSF Eastside rail corridor. The proposal was sent to the County Council on Friday for approval.

Under the plan, the county would acquire the sections of corridor between Renton and Woodinville, and a 7-mile spur between Woodinville and Redmond.
