SEATTLE — The Suburban Cities Association, a 40-year-old organization that represents 35 cities in King County, has changed its name to Sound Cities Association. SCA President Denis Law, mayor of Renton, said the group represents cities with populations below 150,000 on a range of issues.
“Our county is no longer dozens of bedroom communities surrounding a single city, but a network of bustling urban centers that together define a larger metro area and regional economy,” said King County Executive Dow Constantine.
