MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — City and county officials plan a series of meetings and hearings this week on a proposal for a casino in Medford that pits two Oregon tribes against each other in a dispute over gambling territory.
The Coquille Indian Tribe, which has a casino in North Bend along the coast, wants to add a casino and has bought a bowling alley and former restaurant in Medford to house it. It plans to lease a nearby golf course as part of the enterprise.
