City eyes Pike/Pine code changes

The city may modify some regulations in the Pike/Pine corridor on Capitol Hill in the midst of the housing boom.

The Department of Planning and Development says more than 1,000 units have been built there since 2008, and another 1,256 units are in the pipeline. Many developers in Pike/Pine have used a city incentive program to earn extra height and density by preserving the facades of older buildings.
