EVERETT (AP) — Snohomish County forced a property owner to give up 1 acre of a 5-acre farm in 2007 for a road project near Lynnwood.
The county agreed to pay Kay Kohler $404,000 while the value was in dispute. When they went to court in November of 2011 a new appraisal valued the land at only $49,000, because it's a wetland.
