County will seek proposals soon for $30M renovation of Yesler Building

King County now owns the 120,000-square-foot, seven-story structure, but due to recent downsizing it is almost empty.

The trapezoidal-shaped beaux arts building at 400 Yesler Way opened in 1909 to house city offices, the jail, a hospital, and police and health departments.
