Crowdfunding real estate firm opens here

Fundrise, a company that says it uses crowdfunding to raise money for real estate projects, has opened an office in Seattle.

Fundrise says it allows anyone — not just accredited or institutional investors — to invest in projects. The company's website says its goal is to give people a chance to invest in projects in their neighborhood or city.
