SEATTLE — Port of Seattle staff will recommend to the Port Commission whether to move forward with a hotel at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport by the end of the year.
A Port spokesman said a site next to the parking garage and properties at the north and south ends of the main terminal have been considered as possible sites.
Perry Cooper, airport public affairs and media manager, said the current capital budget does not include construction of an airport hotel, although the project is still under consideration.
In late 2011, five developers responded to a solicitation from the Port to determine interest in developing the hotel.
