SEATTLE — An entity related to local developer John Links paid $3.6 million for a site at 1420 E. Madison St. on Capitol Hill that used to be a Taco Time.
Property records show the seller is an entity managed by Frank James Tonkin Jr. of Renton.
According to permit records, Tonkin had filed plans with the city to build a six-story, 70-unit residential building with 3,480 square feet of retail and 95 underground parking spaces.
John Links is a co-founder of The Metropolitan Cos., a Seattle-based company that does construction, renovations and condo conversions.
The East Madison site is across the street from Piecora's Pizza, which closed this week. Equity Residential bought the Piecora's site for $10.3 million.
